The short version

Fixers run independent businesses, choose their opportunities, contract directly with Customers, and remain responsible for qualifications, legal compliance, methods, safety, workmanship, tools, taxes, and insurance.

01 Independent business relationship

The Fixer operates an independent business and is not a Fixerly employee, agent, partner, franchisee, or exclusive provider. Legal classification and non-waivable rights are determined by applicable law and actual circumstances, not labels alone. Fixerly does not guarantee work, revenue, hours, territory, Customers, or continued access.

02 Choice and control

Subject to law and legitimate eligibility rules, the Fixer chooses whether and when to use Fixerly, which opportunities to accept or decline, and the manner and means of performing accepted work. The Fixer may advertise elsewhere, serve other clients, and use competing marketplaces.

03 Direct services agreement

For each selected quote, the Fixer contracts directly with the Customer under the generated Customer–Fixer Service Agreement. The Fixer is responsible for scope evaluation, diagnosis, methods, tools, labor, assistants, timing commitments, safety, permits, cleanup, workmanship, legal compliance, and Customer property.

04 Qualifications and stopping work

The Fixer will accept only work reasonably believed to be within current skill, tools, credentials, insurance, and legal authority. The Fixer must reassess actual conditions and stop, document, and communicate when concealed conditions, hazards, scope, price, permits, or required qualifications materially change.

05 Identity, credentials, and screening

The Fixer must provide accurate identity, business, service-area, skill, tax, payout, license, registration, bond, insurance, and credential information and keep it current. Fixerly may verify that information. Background reports, when used, require a separate standalone disclosure and authorization; this agreement is not background-check authorization.

06 Alaska compliance

The Fixer is responsible for Alaska contractor, business, specialty, mechanical, electrical, professional, identification, bond, insurance, and permit requirements. A Fixer relying on handyman registration will not exceed the aggregate project limit including labor, materials and other items or split related work to evade legal requirements.

07 Pricing, materials, and changes

The Fixer may propose transparent scope, labor, materials, total price, and time. The Fixer may not add chargeable work without a recorded Customer-approved change, except reasonable action necessary to prevent imminent injury or significant property damage. Receipts and material records must be accurate and related to the job.

08 Tools, expenses, taxes, and insurance

Unless a job record expressly says otherwise, the Fixer supplies and maintains ordinary tools, equipment, transportation, communications, business expenses, legally required insurance, and tax obligations. Final insurance minimums and any occupational accident or marketplace policy require attorney and broker approval.

09 Assistants and subcontractors

Assistants or subcontractors may be used only when lawful, qualified, properly insured or credentialed, disclosed as required, and approved through an applicable Customer or Platform workflow. They do not become Fixerly employees merely by participating. The primary Fixer remains responsible for them.

10 Conduct, confidentiality, and evidence

The Fixer will communicate honestly; protect Customer identity, address, access, and job information; use it only for the job; avoid harassment and discrimination; document arrival and work truthfully; preserve relevant evidence; report safety incidents; and cooperate reasonably with support, claims, and disputes.

11 Payments and Platform access

The Fixer authorizes payment facilitation, provider onboarding, disclosed fees, refunds, reversals, reserves, chargebacks, tax reporting, and lawful setoff under the payment policies and provider terms. Fixerly may pause categories or account access for expired credentials, safety, fraud, payment risk, material complaints, law, or policy violations.

12 Items reserved for counsel

Final worker-classification analysis, deactivation and appeal standards, insurance requirements, indemnity, liability allocation, tax language, background-screening matrix, and dispute-resolution terms require attorney approval before production enforcement.
