Privacy Policy

01 Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Fixerly homeowner app (listed as “Fixerly: Trusted Home Help”), the “Fixerly for Fixers” app, the Fixerly operations experience, tryfixerly.com, and related services (together, the “Services”).

Fixerly is operated by Fixerly Technologies LLC (“Fixerly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies whenever you use the Services.

02 Information we collect

Account and contact information

We collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, account identifier, user role, authentication status, and communication preferences. Password credentials are handled by our authentication provider and are not readable by Fixerly.

Home, request, and service information

Homeowners may provide a service address, city, region, postal code, access or arrival notes, job category, description, photos, urgency, availability, timing, budget preferences, and other details needed to complete a request. We do not currently collect continuous or background GPS location.

Fixer profile and application information

Fixers and applicants may provide contact details, a base location, service radius, service areas, skills, experience, equipment, work preferences, availability, application responses, and identity, background-check, training, or credential status.

Marketplace activity and communications

We process job opportunities, quotes, appointment selections, job status events, before-and-after documentation, change requests, in-app messages, support cases, ratings, reviews, disputes, and related operational records.

Transactions

We process service amounts, authorization and payment status, refunds, adjustments, disputes, Fixer earnings, and payout status. Stripe processes homeowner card and wallet details and, for Fixers, identity, tax, and bank-account information needed for onboarding and payouts. Fixerly receives account references, capability status, transaction identifiers, and limited card descriptors; Fixerly does not store full card numbers or bank-account credentials.

Device, notification, and usage information

We may collect device and app information, push-notification tokens, notification delivery status, IP address and server logs, browser information, page views, and selected product events. The website uses PostHog for product analytics and session replay. Replay inputs are masked to protect information people type. The website stores a limited first-visit campaign or referrer record and an analytics browser identifier so visits can be connected to a later signup in the same browser. The campaign record is cleared after signup or 30 days.

Website and waitlist information

If you join a waitlist, request Android closed-test access, or contact us, we collect your email address, audience selection, message, submission time, campaign or referral parameters, and basic security or server-log information.

Website advertising technologies

We use Google Tag Manager to manage advertising tags on our public website, including the MNTN tracking pixel. When you visit, advertising partners may place or read cookies and use pixels or similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, pages visited, referring URLs, and visit times. This information helps measure advertising performance and build audiences for Fixerly ads. The MNTN website pixel does not, by itself, track activity inside our native apps.

03 How we use information

• Provide accounts, job intake, matching, quoting, scheduling, messaging, tracking, support, and job records.
• Route opportunities based on approved skills, service areas, availability, job complexity, safety, and marketplace rules.
• Send transactional email, in-app, and push-notification updates needed for active jobs.
• Operate payments, earnings, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, trust checks, and marketplace safety.
• Support application review, user support, and controlled job release through Operations.
• Analyze reliability and product usage, troubleshoot problems, secure the Services, and improve the experience.
• Measure and improve advertising campaigns and show relevant Fixerly ads, including retargeting website visitors on other sites and networks.
• Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect the rights and safety of users, Fixerly, and others.

04 How we disclose information

• Between marketplace participants. Qualified Fixers may receive request details needed to evaluate an opportunity. A selected Fixer and homeowner receive the information needed to complete the service.
• Service providers. We use providers such as Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend services; Expo for app and notification services; Vercel for hosting; PostHog for limited product analytics; and Apple and Google for platform services.
• Specialized partners. When enabled, payment processors, identity or background-check providers, communications providers, and other specialists process information to perform their services.
• Advertising partners. MNTN and its advertising partners may use website activity and identifiers to measure campaigns and target Fixerly digital advertising on other sites and networks, including connected television. Their handling of this information is described in the MNTN Privacy Policy.
• Legal, safety, and business needs. We may disclose information when required by law, to investigate fraud or safety issues, to enforce our terms, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate protections.

We do not exchange personal information for money. Disclosing website activity and identifiers for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some privacy laws. See Your choices below for ways to control this advertising use.

05 Your choices

You can update certain information in the Services, control device notifications through app and operating-system settings, and unsubscribe from non-transactional communications when offered. Essential service messages may continue while you have an active account or job.

Advertising choices

You can review MNTN’s advertising opt-out options and use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Some choices apply only to a particular browser or device, so you may need to repeat them on other browsers or devices or after clearing cookies. Opting out of targeted advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads.

When your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our website does not load the Google Tag Manager container used for MNTN advertising tags in that browser. This control does not disable the separate PostHog product analytics described above or delete information previously collected.

You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@tryfixerly.com. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting.

06 Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain transaction and job histories, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and safety obligations.

Following a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify personal information that we are not required or permitted to retain. Some job, payment, fraud-prevention, safety, or legal records may be retained with access restricted. Data may persist in encrypted backups until those backups rotate through their normal lifecycle.

07 Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, authenticated access, database row-level controls, restricted operational access, and audit-oriented records for sensitive actions. No system is completely secure.

08 Children

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

09 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Fixerly evolves. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when required.
